Multiply the live 24K price per gram by the karat's purity factor (24K = 99.9%, 22K = 91.6%, 18K = 75%, 14K = 58.5%), then multiply by the weight in grams to get the gold value for that weight.
What's the difference between 22K and 24K gold price?
24K is 99.9% pure gold. 22K is 91.6% pure — the remaining share is alloy added for strength — so 22K costs about 8% less per gram than 24K, and is the more common purity for jewellery in India.
